Blackpool FC still find themselves with some key areas to fill heading into the final stages of the summer transfer window, despite adding six new players to their ranks so far this summer.

The Seasiders have added Dion Charles, Ilmari Niskanen, Karoy Anderson, Jordan Williams, Finley Munroe, and Luke Southwood to their squad over the last few months, but early season injuries have left certain departments needing more work before the September 1 deadline.

This includes the defence, which needs cover for the current absences of Fraser Horsfall and Michael Ihiekwe, and the departure of James Husband at the end of his contract - with Jordan Williams, Olly Casey, and Zac Ashworth forming the back three currently.

“Everyone knows where we are short, we just need to keep working hard to make the right decisions for this football club, sometimes that’s patience, and we’ve all had to be very patient in this window, but we’re not the only ones,” he said.
