Blackpool boss shares transfer thoughts ahead of deadline
Blackpool have added six new players to their ranks so far this summer, but boss Ian Evatt believes there's still more to do to strengthen the squad. The Seasiders are entering the final full week of the transfer window, with proceedings coming to an end for another summer on September 1.
Over the past few months, Dion Charles, Ilmari Niskanen, Karoy Anderson, Jordan Williams, Finley Munroe and Luke Southwood have all made the move to Bloomfield Road. However, Evatt is keen to stress that there's still work to be done to finalise the transfer deals the club requires.

Evatt stated, "There's people working incredibly hard behind-the-scenes. We've pinpointed what we want and what we feel we need, and we're trying very hard to make that happen." He also praised the recruitment team, saying, "The recruitment lads are working night and day, they work so hard to try and provide us with the right personnel to recruit and sign to make us better."
The transfer window may be closing soon, but Evatt remains optimistic about the club's chances of making the right signings. He said, "We need more in my opinion, but that isn't applying pressure on anyone else. If we don't, we don't - I'm comfortable with that as well. We have to do the right things for this football and everyone in this football, and everyone's aligned on making the best decisions for Blackpool."
