Blackpool secured a key 2-0 victory over Milton Keynes Dons in League One on Tuesday night. Goals from Karoy Anderson and Dale Taylor in the second half delivered three points that lifted the club to 20th in the table, with a record of two wins and two draws from their nine games.

The win, which ended a run of three straight defeats, came at a vital time for a side that had taken just two points from its previous five matches. Blackpool now has eight points from nine games, a welcome boost ahead of Saturday's home fixture with Mansfield Town. The team's recent form, comprising one win, one draw, and three losses in the last five, had seen them lose to Leyton Orient and Cambridge United before this key result. Their season has seen them score 13 goals but concede 16, leaving them with a negative three goal difference.

Karoy Anderson broke the deadlock in the 69th minute, finishing an assist from Josh Bowler. Dale Taylor then doubled the lead eight minutes later, coming off the bench to score his first goal for the club. The hosts managed five shots on target from nine attempts, while Peacock-Farrell made three saves to preserve the clean sheet.

Oliver Casey and Albie Morgan received yellow cards for Blackpool, with MK Dons' Ryan Wintle and Sam Nombe also booked. The visitors edged possession with 52 percent but created fewer clear chances, registering an expected goals figure of 0.75.

Manager Evatt made several changes during the match, introducing Leighton Clarkson at half-time and both Dion Charles and the match-winning Taylor just after the hour mark. The alterations paid off as Blackpool saw out the game comfortably.

The result provides a significant morale lift as the team prepares to host Mansfield Town this Saturday at Bloomfield Road. Mansfield currently sit 13th in the division, and Blackpool will be looking to build on this performance.
