Four Make Injury Return for Blackpool Open Training Session but Three Remain Absent

Blackpool FC hosted an open training session at Bloomfield Road, with fans invited to watch Ian Evatt's side in action and get autographs. The sight of certain individuals would've been a relief following an injury-hit pre-season for the Seasiders. While none of the issues have been serious, there's still been concern on the outside over the shortage of minutes for some following last term's woes.

Fraser Horsfall hasn't featured in any of this summer's friendlies after undergoing surgery on an ankle problem back in March, but was back on the grass with his teammates ahead of Saturday's EFL Cup first round tie away to Grimsby Town. Leighton Clarkson and Tom Bloxham were also visible, having not featured since a meeting with AFC Fylde at the beginning of last month, while Albie Morgan took part in the session after missing the last two games.

That left Michael Ihiekwe, George Honeyman and Dion Charles absent from the first-team, with teenager Oluchi Nwankwo currently out after being forced off with a knee problem in last week's behind-closed-doors friendly against Blackburn Rovers.

League standing (final 2025 table -- new season not yet under way): 19th in League One, 51 pts, 14W-9D-20L from 43 games, recent form WLWWD.
