Karoy Anderson has been selected for Jamaica's national team for the forthcoming international period. The Blackpool player is among three from his club chosen for their countries.
Anderson has represented the Reggae Boyz on multiple occasions. His inclusion comes after he signed permanently with Blackpool following a temporary period there last season.
"I’m looking forward to it a lot," Anderson stated. He described it as a welcome chance for which he is thankful.
He has taken on captaincy duties when needed for his club. Anderson credited his improvement to working with the team's head coach.
"I’m really enjoying my football at the moment," Anderson remarked. He noted that the coach presents new challenges that help him develop.
He also mentioned concentrating on minor aspects in practice to apply in matches, seeing his national team call-up as a result of his advancement.
International fixtures
Jamaica is scheduled to face Guatemala. Subsequent matches include hosting Honduras and playing against El Salvador and Honduras again.
Blackpool's recent matches were delayed due to players being called up. The team's position in the league table is tenth after several games.
Anderson's selection is one of three for his club during this interval. Teammates Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Dion Charles were also picked for their national team.
The club's recent results include a victory, a tie, and several losses. Anderson hopes to use his international involvement to benefit his club as they seek to improve their position.
