Blackpool goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell and striker Dion Charles have been selected for the Northern Ireland national team squad. Manager Michael O'Neill named the pair for a quartet of UEFA Nations League matches later this month.
The call-ups are the first for Blackpool players in the current international period. The selections come as the League One side sits 10th in the table with 8 points from their opening six matches. Their next fixture is at home to sixth-placed Plymouth on Saturday.
Peacock-Farrell, who won the club's Player of the Month award for August, will join the squad after Blackpool's recent 2-2 draw with Bromley. Charles, who is on a season-long loan from Huddersfield Town, has contributed one goal and two assists in the league so far.
Northern Ireland will travel to face Georgia on 25 September before hosting Hungary at Windsor Park three days later. They then play Georgia at home on 5 October before a trip to face Ukraine in Slovakia. The full schedule for the international break can be found on our fixtures page.
Blackpool manager Ian Evatt will see his squad reduced during the break, with the pair set to join up with their national team. The club's form has been mixed, with one win, one draw and three defeats in their last five outings, a run fans can review in the stats section.
