Amos Wynn has announced his departure from The Gazette after three seasons as Blackpool's dedicated reporter. He confirmed the move earlier this week, bringing his regular coverage of the Seasiders to an end.
Wynn said he will continue to check Blackpool scores every Saturday despite leaving the publication. He hopes the team will have a strong end to the season and mentioned checking train tickets to Wembley. He will continue to produce random interviews and videos and will head to Bloomfield Road as soon as he returns to England from a trip to Australia.
Wynn's reflections on his time at Blackpool
He described his three years covering Blackpool as challenging but honourable, calling Bloomfield Road his second home. Wynn thanked the club, staff, players, and fans for their support, noting the past three years were not the most prosperous era for the club.
"It’s been a privilege to cover Blackpool for the past three seasons - and it’s a club that will always remain close to my heart," said Amos Wynn.
He said it was an honour to tell stories about the club. Wynn will return home after his trip.
The club he leaves behind is handling a difficult spell, sitting 15th in the standings with eight points from seven games. Their recent form shows no wins in the last five matches, a run they will aim to end against Notts County this weekend in their next fixtures test. The team's current stats show they have scored 8 goals while conceding 9 in the league so far. Wynn will return to England and head to Bloomfield Road as soon as he returns from Australia.
